I am stuck in the 20th Century!  I heard that email is only for communicating with your grandmother!  Well, I resent that!  I just became familiar with email and now it is being looked down upon. 

I am being dragged into the 21st century – RSS-Blog-Pods – Help! 

I am reading things called wired -  blop and pop – flicker – flash.  Old words with new meanings are being introduced to me. 

At first I was scared.  Now, I am interested!  What is to come?  Each day I read more and try to understand.  Maybe, just maybe, we can teach an old dog new tricks…………

Every Summer I raise Monarch Butterfllies for all to enjoy at a public library.   I enjoy watching the miracle of the monarchs but I am fascinated by the different reactions of people who watch them.  I notice people who barely give the Monarchs a glance.  Children who visit and comment on each and every little change and celebrate their release.  Then there are teenages who are just too cool to allow themselves to take any notice at all!  In the same way there are parents who really resent the bother of having to stop with their children and actually pull the children away so they can hurry up and get on to whatever they are getting on to.  Of course, my heart goes out to the parents who crawl around commenting and looking at the miracle before them.   But my favorite — the rare parent and child who take the time and then ask for books about Monarchs and discover  the true miracle of the Monarch, the Mexican Journey, and the story of the Viceroy.  Interested?  Just google Monarch Butterfly and discover a miracle.
